Contemporaneous notes are admissible in civil proceedings (in the U.S.) as evidence of the facts of a conversation, observation, or interaction between individuals. This was made known to the world in 2017 by then-FBI Director James Comey, who compiled them from his personal conversations with the then-President. – In 2010, then Google Chairman Eric Schmidt: »If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.« [1] [2]
