Putting up certificates and diplomas in one's office is a familiar US-American trope, associated with licensed healthcare professionals, attorneys or military officers. This work plays with the concept of the ›Ego Wall‹. It expands the idea of self-ownership and the horizon of meritocracy.
Meta-stylistics: Narrative that refers to a specific model of what is being narrated is referred to here as analytical narrative. Case vignettes in psychology are an example of analytical narratives. Camille Paglia's interpretation of classical art history [15] draws on such a model. With it, her work analyses themselves become analytical narratives.
